Notes:
* The Program Fee listed above assumes one summer session only and is relevant to the cost of the program in Summer 2019. DTU offers three summer sessions, so students wishing to take 2 or 3 sessions should multiply the Program Fee listed above according to the number of sessions they intend to participate in and increase the non-billable line items accordingly as well (please note that non-billable costs are estimates subject to change depending on the currency exchange rate and a student's personal spending habits). Students will only be charged once for airfare if participating in multiple summer sessions. 

​AIRFARE:
To allow for flexibility, students may book their own flights for this program but are required to do so through the university's travel agent, World Travel, Inc. (WTI). You will need to be prepared to pay for your tickets out of pocket using a credit card (and/or frequent flyer miles, if relevant). Our office will post a credit to your Student Account equivalent to the average cost of round trip airfare to/from your study abroad destination, assuming BWI/IAD as the point of departure. This credit will be $1,200 for European destinations, $1,500 for Asian destinations. Please contact the program advisor for instructions on how to book your travel through WTI.

FINANCIAL AID: FINANCIAL AID: 
Students’ financial aid packages do not generally provide funding for intersession experiences, domestic or international. If additional funding is needed to make intersession study abroad possible, we encourage students to explore Scholarship Opportunities (see below) and to discuss with Student Financial Services whether additional loans are available.

SCHOLARSHIPS:
The JHU Office of Study Abroad administers partial scholarships for intersession study abroad (usually between $500 and $2,500). These awards are both need and merit based and are competitive.
