Intern Abroad in Morocco

Why Morocco?
Due to its geographical location, Morocco provides an amazing glimpse into a variety of different worlds. With ancient roots in Islam, this African nation also experienced the frequent influence of northern European neighbors, and it likewise adapted to the continually changing global landscape. There are opportunities to intern in a variety of fields, ranging from healthcare to education. After hours, take advantage of Morocco’s breathtaking beauty, from ancient medinas and palm-lined boulevards to pristine white-sand beaches and golden mountains. Choose Morocco, and you will have a truly special professional experience.

Interns can expect to work side by side with local colleagues, receive direction from a manager or staff member, and behave just as one would in a real job. On weekends or after work hours, interns engage in a host of activities depending on each participant’s tastes. Interns share meals with new friends or host family members, take in cultural events, explore the city, or even take day or weekend trips outside of the area. World Endeavors provides a list of possible activities in the area and the World Endeavors local coordinator can also function as an ever present guide and ambassador to the area.

Program Snapshot

Language Training: World Endeavors’ Internship in Morocco programs includes 30 hours of Arabic language instruction for programs 1 month in duration. For programs 2 months or longer, interns will receive 45 hours of Arabic language instruction.

Housing: World Endeavors interns stay with Moroccan host families, where they share space, build relationships, practice their language skills, and learn about traditional culture, food, home rituals, and customs. Interns are expected to display respect and consideration for the host family. Living with a host family ensures total immersion, which can be both challenging and rewarding, but ultimately provides the most authentic experience of Morocco.

Dates: Internships are available year round with start dates once a month, and each placement is customized for the participant. This means that World Endeavors interns can choose the start date and duration of their internship, as well as the field. Due to holidays, traditional vacation schedules, and seasonal work availability, there might be better times than others to intern in a specific location or in a specific field. Our advisors work with interns to ensure that their timeframe works adequately with the internship site. This communication is a key to creating a successful internship placement.

Duration: Generally, the minimum program duration for interning in Morocco is 1 month. Contact World Endeavors if you would like to go for a shorter duration.

Cost: See our website for program fee information

How to Apply: Our application deadlines are set at 16 weeks prior to your desired program start date. Visit our website at to start your application.
