EligibilityMilan - Window Shopping

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students interested in taking courses in Italian must have 4 semesters of college-level Italian or the equivalent.

Courses and Credits

Study Abroad students enroll in 30 ECTS (15 credits) per semester, which typically consists of 5 classes.

Students can select from coursework in Italian and/or English. Students with at least 4 semesters of college-level Italian will have a wider variety of courses from which to choose.

Students will need to have courses pre-approved for major/minor credits and earn the equivalent of a C or better in order to transfer credits back to Hopkins. Grades will not appear on the JHU transcript or factor into the GPA.

Students pay JHU tuition, which will be billed to the student account. Students pay housing directly to the housing provider on site. Financial aid may be applied toward the cost of the program.Milan - Street Food - Iverson

Exchange students can apply for accommodation in Bocconi Residence Halls through the ISD Housing Office. Spots are limited and assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.

 There is a multi-step application process for this program.

(1) Students must complete the Hopkins application by clicking the green "Apply Now" button at the top/bottom of this page
(2) JHU will review this application and nominate qualified candidates to the university for participation on the program
(3) Nominated students will need to complete the program application. Instructions will be provided by the Study Abroad Advisor
